Engine was running fine until you filled the external tank. To me thats where I be concentrating my efforts, either the fuel itself or the tank and the fuel line from the pickup to the carburetor. The engine was running fine until you added fuel so one would think your fuel is bad or perhaps has water in it when you purchased the fuel. I’m assuming you disconnected the tank to fill it, is the connection good and not sucking air? When running can you see any air bubbles in the fuel filter? Does the fuel bulb stay hard when running? Have you tried adding a gas additive that will help with water in the fuel, I use Seafoam but there are lots of other products that will “dissolve” water. I can’t clean my fuel filter so I not sure what you have for a filter that allows you to disassemble and clean. For the price of a new fuel filter I’d be replacing the fuel filter. Engine sat for a month, possible that the carburetor has started to gum up with the fuel in the carburetor and decided not to run at the exact same time you added fuel, thats a big coincidence. Engine runs crappy on an external fuel tank. How does it run on the onboard fuel tank?

I got you..i completely drained the fuel system...as well internal tank and cleaned carb....there is not fuel filter only one in internal tank and one connected to external tank hose....the internal tank is gravity fed...

There is no change even if i play with the choke....

My hope that its not valves or anything mechanical but the more i dig into it the more i am concerned.

I do not have external tank at the moment its in garage untill Monday...i will try then and report back. If it doesnt work i will surrend and bring it to suzuki dealer and pay arm and leg....

Could be a sensor issue? You could be running in fail safe. Idles fine, application of throttle to above 3000RPM and the ECM limits RPMS to 3000. Did you look for any codes flashing? On mine the caution lights are on the tachometer, yours maybe on the tiller handle, somewhere on that engine they might/could be a warning indicator.

No warning indicator....its only 6hp so its fairly easy....i though someone here may have experienced the same....

Btw if i may whats the symptoms of sticking valves? Do you know.? Would you loose compresions or not able to start?
