  • 1989 DT25C Idle timing

Any one know what it should be?
    Thank you.

Your motor has the TVS (throttle valve sensor), so timing is controlled by the 3 ignition timing coils (under flywheel), the gear counting coil (mounting critical, must read each tooth of flywheel), the TVS on #2 carb, and the CDI module.

This means your timing is controlled by the electronics, not adjustable.

Good luck, post back when able to let us know how it's going.

If your motor is not running well, most often it is caused by carbs air, &/or fuel pas-sages being dirty, mixture screws not all adjusted to manual, or jets in carbs mixed up (some earlier motors had different jets depending on carb position, to balance air/ fuel flow) between carbs.

If electrical, most often gear counting coil not mounted correctly to flywheel, or not within specs/ manual.

Good luck, post back when able to let us know how it's going.
