I am having a new 140 installed in the place of my Mercury Optimax. I just (maybe 2 hours ago) installed a new Racor water seperator filter on the boat. It is a Racor S3213 filter and is labeled as a Mercury filter. Is there any reason i should change it out with my new motor? I don't know what makes it brand specific or if there is a filtration or flow requirement I may not be aware of. Thanks in advance and for all the great information here. I have already benefitted from this forum.
