DT4 not pumping water

Water only coming out of telltale when grommet off. New impeller kit fitted and waterways clear. When turning shaft on bottom unit with drill not a lot of water coming out of exit grommet but not sure how much there should be? Putting a hose onto water tube a little comes out of telltale but most running back down inside of leg. Does that mean that split in tube or grommet at top? Presumably I need to remove the power head to access top of tube but is this easy? Is Boats.net the best source for parts to be sent to the uk?

First off, you should run motor in a container with vinegar or other corrosion flush for a few (3-4) 20 min flushes (same solution just allowing to cool down + makeup solution to keep above water pump in foot). Also, it doesn't hurt to use infrared thermometer to record temps at head to see if solution is circulating better.

After doing this, then see if water is flowing better?
