  • Engine Selection

I am repowering a 27' SeaCraft Tournament, estimated weight about 8500lbs. (sort of rare, no official specs I can find) I'm replacing a pair of older Yamaha ox66 200hp, 25" transom mounted. I'm mostly interested in fuel economy. Don't care about going 50 mph. New motors aren't in the budget. I'd like to get your thoughts on the best year & horsepower to look for in a twin configuration. Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

I’d go for the newest and lowest hour engines within your budget. If your close to a highly rated shop that services Suzuki then go for it. Without under powering your boat I’d would consider 175hp and up, depending upon what’s available/affordable.
