DF9.9B: voltage regulator

I have a 2015 DF9.9BTHL engine. Is it equipped with a voltage regulator? The genuine Repair Manual mentions a "Rectifier/regulator". I'm not sure what that indicates. Also I'd like to know if anyone has experience using an AGM or a lithium starter or dual purpose battery of either type.

Rectifier converts the AC current to DC so you can charge a battery and the regulator keeps the voltage at about 14.5V.

See part #1. The model number you provided shows up as a 2014 and 2016, nothing for 2015. At one time Suzuki recommended only a lead acid battery, not sure if that still stands. Your owners manual should specify the battery type and size.

Appreciate your response. The plate on the engine shows it was made on 18 June 2015. Suzuki manual notes a LA battery. I tried contacting their home office, but all they will do is refer you to a dealer.
