Thermostat gasket on a 2009 DF 175

When changing the Thermostat on a 2009 DF 175 is a gasket or a seal required ?

At the top of this page “Buy Suzuki Outboard Parts” select your year and HP, parts 6-1 and 7 shows no gasket. I have never done a thermostat on an outboard but I would think it would be prudent to apply some silicone on part 7 (Cover). Once you remove the thermostat cover(part 7) you’ll know if there has been silicone applied previously.
Just checked my Service Manual and there is a “Cover Seal” that fits into the thermostat. I’m ASSUMING that this Cover Seal would come with the thermostat.

A "O" ring comes with, attached to the edge of the stat.

Murray and tsturm, Thank you for your replies. I didn't see a gasket on the diagram but I wanted to double check it.
