2020 suzuki 175 engine noise after 300 hr service

anyone have an idea what is causing this engine to sound like this the other one isn't making the noise at all not very audible with the cowl on

I don’t like what I am hearing, I would not use the boat, have you checked the oil level since you got the boat back from your service,

Did they forget to refill it with oil??

yes there is oil in it and with the cowling on you don't hear it
I ran 70 miles this weekend everything seems fine
oil is still honey colored new
Its hard to know if it ever sounded different since Ive never listened to it with the cowl off before
the mechanic thinks that it could be the valve lash that needs adjustment

does that sound like it could be that ?

Valve check/adjustment due at 200 hours as per Suzuki. Was it done at 200 hours? If not would suggest you do so.

Something is brewing, even if the sound is being amplified by the phone speaker that deep tap would concern me. I would check the oil pressure and I would pull the oil filter off and cut it open and see if there was any metal or bearing material trapped in the filter paper.
